I just received my final grades for this semester. I received 3 A’s and 1 B in my other classes. Unfortunately in my math class I failed.
It’s frustrating as I went to tutoring quite a bit (when i needed help) and the professor went over one of the tests with me. I also studied my butt off the night before the final.
Math is my weakest subject, I made 2 A’s (my sociology and history class) which is my major and minor. I also made an A in my intro to computer science class and a B in my intro to environmental science class. It’s just frustrating as I needed to pass this class to graduate and it’s effecting my GPA
I never could handle math of any kind. Make sure your major doesn’t require a lot of math-related classes. You are probably a good writer or history type of student. I graduated with a degree in business management. My GPA was only a 3.2 because if all the problems I had with math. It took me five years instead of four years because math slowed me down.
What level of math class was it? Maybe drop down to its prerequisite?
I was taking College Algebra. Only one math class is required for my major and minor. I called the school today and asked one of the advisors about my algebra class (it was saying I didn’t have to repeat it). He told me I could have been placed in a lower level math class (intro to statistics) for my math requirement. I was not made aware of this when registering for classes in July by another advisor. Luckily there is a class offered during the summer I’ll probably take to complete the math requirement.
