I am a freshman in college, and basically spent the first two semesters screwing around and ended up flunking out. I would like to go back to school, but not really sure where to start from here. My question is can I apply to a different school than the one I attended, and just enter in as an incoming freshman to start over, as if I never attended my previous school? I don’t have any credits from either of my two semesters that I would want/need to be transferred.
I did the exact same thing. I just started back to school at a community college that is open enrollment. That’s probably the best way to get back in the swing of things. Community colleges are designed to provide special help for their students to help them succeed. Just make sure you do some research and pick one that is regionally accredited so your credits will transfer to universities if you want. Its also a very cost-effective way to get essentially the same general-ed education.
I did the same thing you did. Except my case was far worse than yours. I spent three years at my first university, never earned a single credit, went full-time every semester I was there, and never made it past freshman status. I was eventually expelled for my intelligence-insulting performance.

How did you get back to a 4 year school eventually? Was there a certain amount of credits you needed to complete at a community college in order to get back to a 4 year school?
When applying to transfer to a four year school you will need to submit all transcripts, even if those at your first school show all F’s.
