Failed physics twice, what should I do?

Hello everyone,

So back in Summer 2014 and Fall 2014, I took calc-based Physics 1 twice at my local CC. The first time I got a 1.0 and second time I got a 1.5, both of which won’t transfer to university, as you need a 2.0 or better to transfer it. It has me really discouraged and I’m questioning if I should even pursue a physical science (e.g. Physics or geology) or engineering major. The only other majors I can think of myself going into now is one in the social sciences or humanities, both of which I hear do not have good job prospects.

Any advice would be helpful.

Why are you not doing well? Testing anxiety, didn’t ask for help, don’t understand the concepts, didn’t study enough?

I believe I got the concepts alright, it was just about the problems like drawing pictures into math problems and changing relationships between equations. Exams were usually based on “challenge problems” or some of the most challenging problems in the textbook. Also I have depression, ADHD and anxiety really bad occasionally.
