Failed several classes

<p>I have failed several classes during my Freshman year at a private university in California. My GPA is 2.0~. I was a decent high school student and I have never failed any classes in high school before. I have social anxiety and failed to attend classes sometimes. </p>

<p>Now I am transferring to a community college and will be starting this summer. If I do exceptionally well here, will I still be able to transfer to a UC? Will UCs see that I am improving or will I be screwed because of my old transcript?</p>

<p>UCs will replace Ds and Fs if you retake them. So if you can retake those classes from your private then your GPA will be recalculated with only those new grades. </p>
