Failed the IB

Im so ashamed to make this topic, I would love to go into a corner and die. I can't believe how stupid I am, but I got a 23 on the IB, one point shy of the pass. My HLs are what i messed up, got 11 points instead of 12. So what do i do now? I need to retake them, but am I allowed to retake only certain ones, or, because i failed, do i have to take them ALL over again??

Can someone please answer, because Im so lost right now. I think I just messed up my entire life.

I really wish you were in the U.S. doing IB so I can tell you that it does not matter. But since your not, I presume, I will just tell you that you did your best and the fact that your brave enough to post that, shows how much you really care. Answering ur q, you only have to retake the exam you failed or the one that kept you from getting your diploma.

I do live in Europe, but I am actually going to the US for university, and I already know that my school wont take back the acceptance, fail or pass doesn’t matter; only for credits. I just want to get the IB diploma, even if it is in November.

Thank you for your response!

Yeah, aren’t you going to Harvard?

Don’t worry. :P

what is the system of your school? so if you dont get the diploma you wont be considered graduated from highschool?
in my school IB is optional and a friend of mine also failed the diploma(she got 22 in total) but she still get 6 individual IB certificates.
So, I believe if u still be considered graduated of highschool and is getting your highschool diploma(not the IB one) then it doesnt matter, u can still apply to colleges get work etc and forget of it. Otherwise u can choose to repeat the exams, just wait for the november test dates and study.
