Failing a class before transferring to a UC

Hi guys,

Im in a bit of a sticky situation. A Calc 3 class I am currently taking at my community college moved 3/4 of our tests back to the last 2 weeks of class. Due to this, about 80+% of my grade is still up in the air I have no idea what my grade is. I took the last of the 3 tests today and I didn’t feel too strong about it. Incase I end up not passing this class, would my acceptance to the UCs I got into be rescinded? The class is a transfer requirement at UCSD so Im pretty sure that they would rescind my acceptance but what about the other schools ? I got into UCSB and UCD and was wondering if they are more lenient due to it not being a requirement and due to the ongoing situation.
I also did email UCSB directly but was wondering if anyone has had any experience with this?

normally, - yeah, you’d probably be rescinded. But, these aren’t normal times. I’d contact all of the UCs that took you and see what they say. My sense is that they’ll have more flexibility this year.
Good luck.

Both UC’s should have provided a provisional admission contract spelling out required grades for the classes in-progress especially for a transfer. Usually it is a C or higher, but as indicated by @NCalRent, they may be willing to be more flexible due to the current situation.

Definitely contact the schools and ask.

Just throwing in my two cents. I agree with @gumbymom. There has been so much upheaval they may let you take in summer or just give you a pass. Reach out right away. They don’t like it when you wait. Good luck!
