Failing Algebra 2A (Junior Year?) That means I won't get into college?!

I have 90’s in all of my classes, except math! I got 60’s all year and I have always been bad at math. I tried to change my teacher since the beginning of the year, but apparently “we can’t”. I don’t have money for tutors and I’m worried I won’t get into college. WHAT CAN I DO? Thanks for your help!

Its kind of late but you should sit down with your teacher and find out exactly what you need to do to pass the class.

Then, you need to find a classmate that will help or you’re going to have to teach yourself - there are lots of good resources online. KhanAcademy, https://schoolyourself.org/, EdX, all have free algebra courses. You may need to take a few steps backward into Algebra 1 to make sure that you have the fundamentals clear.

Its going to take a lot of work and you may need to experiment a bit with the different resources out there in order to find one that you connect with. Put together a timeline and study schedule and then stick to it.

It does not mean you won’t get into college, although it may affect which college you can get into.

I’d try to seek out extra help from your teacher and I’d also ask if your high school’s honor society provides free tutoring to students.
