Hi all,

I've got several admissions to biosciences programs, and I think I'm going to accept an offer at a "top tier" school on the west coast. I'm having an issue with one of my courses though. Despite having at least one interview every week between winter and spring breaks, I still stocked up on a normal 17 credit course load. Three of these courses were introductory grad level, and one is upper grad level. I'm having an issue with this last one; it seems like no matter how hard I try or how many times I talk to the TA, I still drop points like crazy on homeworks and exams; I'm therefore sitting on a solid D. I've already dropped the grading to pass/fail, but I have a serious chance of completely failing it. The class was completely unnecessary for completing my degree; I just thought that the introductory stuff I'd learned in previous classes was really cool and wanted to learn more about it in a systematic, course-oriented way.

Is this something that could get me rescinded from my program? Should I talk to the grad program organizer about it? I'm kind of afraid to put my name on their "watch list", but they could also tell me more accurately than anyone from CC. Would asking be a good idea?

Thanks for any advice.
