Failing Distance Learning Calculus; What to do?

Okay so I’m kind of devastated at the moment. I currently have 58.7% in a Calculus class I’m taking via broadcast to a “Learning Center” and online homework and tests. I have two tests coming up and one of those being the final and worth two tests in the amount of points it’s worth.

There may also be a pop quiz or two but that’s the least of my worries. I have the ability to go back and do EVERY homework assignment from the start of the class and I can redo every question as many times as necessary until I achieve 100% on each assignment. I can’t redo quizes or tests.

My grade is determined through the method that homework, tests, quizes, and two presentations that all have a relative point value that we can earn a percentage of based on how we score on the items within those categories.

Here’s how it is for me currently:

Lately I only do worse and worse on tests and quizes and I only get a portion of them correct with that amount declining as I go.

My class ends in 20 days but I won’t be home to be able to go to class or to work on the assignments all next week because I have a trip I’m going on for another thing in school for an entire week. And it’s a commitment that I can’t avoid.

So that gives me roughly 13 days to work on this with most of those being school days where I can’t devote all day to working on this.

Anyway my question is this, should I even bother trying to work every minute of the day to try to improve my homework score so I have a chance at passing?

Initially I was only 2% under passing but then our professor changed the value that our “Other” portion of our grade had from 20% of our grade to only 10% of our grade and that really knocked me down quite a bit.

My delima really is summed up in the fact that I’m struggling with concepts and even if I try to work extremely hard to get my homework scores up to 100% I may fail a test or both tests badly enough that I’ll drop a few more percent and not be able to pass still. Even after doing all the work to get 100% on all the homework.

So is it even worth trying?
