Failing my first semester and its impact on admissions

Hello, I recently failed my first semester at my university (this was due to many external factors from me being an international student, unable to find a place in the university’s community, and others which eventually affected my grades); the college suggested that I withdraw for an indefinite amount of time and return later on. How will this failed semester affect my applications to other universities if they do occur? Will I have to mention that I attended the college and if so, will I have to explain my semester? I have decided to withdraw from the college; will this change anything about the admissions process? Thank you.

All universities will require you to send those grades and you will have to explain.

Did you fail ALL your courses or just some of the courses, resulting in a GPA below 2.0? A more pressing short term issue is how the withdrawal from your current university affects your Visa Status, if you are not enrolled in a tertiary institution next spring? What is your intended major?

Hi, thanks for replying. I’m an Indian and will be enrolling in an Indian university next fall; my visa status will definitely be resolved by the time I am ready for graduate school.
