Fairfield University Class of 2024

@“IMPATIENT MOM” congratulations! It’s a great school!

accepted with $17,000/ year scholarship! so pumped!

1270 SAT

What is it that you love about the school?

@jcd716 - I attended and have my 30th reunion this summer!! I LOVED every minute of it!!! FYI, the acceptance and scholarship were in the same letter.

@“IMPATIENT MOM” are you in our Facebook group for Fairfield parents of accepted students?

Was anyone accepted into the Nursing program? D was deferred.

Will everyone please post stats. My D is at work until 9:00!!! I just want an idea of whether she’ll get in or not!! So nervous…

Any one know how good is computer science program?

Also any chart on how many students maintain above 3.0 GPA (the scholarship requires to maintain 3.0 compared many other schools 2.5 GPA)?

@mamwich My D also won’t be home until 8:30. Am trying to stay busy working. :slight_smile:

Congrats to all who have been accepted, hang in there those who have been deferred, and best of luck to all!

@HVasconi I was deferred from nursing as well. Hoping to be prioritize therefore we don’t have to wait until april 1st.

My son’s friend just got in with $20K merit! Good private high school, probably 1350 SAT and relatively high GPA…

Tom CT…they said he needed to maintain a 2.8 for the merit money…FYI…I know the site says 3.0.

@TomCT
Did you apply for computer science and got accepted? We did as well but not planning to attend because their computer science is not that good compared to other colleges. They are more popular for business and nursing and have a good programs for that.

My D was accepted into nursing as a Magis Scholar, $25k scholarship . She’s got a 4.5 weighted GPA and a 33 ACT, AP Scholar with Honors, public school in MA. Lots of extracurriculars, including a CNA.

Nursing programs are so competitive and we’re feeling very fortunate tonight. Good luck to everyone.

Just an fyi…2 boys in my son’s HS got in …the one with the better credentials has to maintain a 2.8 to keep his money and the one with the lesser credentials has to maintain a 2.5 to keep his money…I find this very interesting that they stack the requirements…My son is ED2 so I’m very curious…

@TomCT

Ok. Please do a good research and compare to other colleges before making a decision.They do not have the best CS program or related internships compared to others. Very few people actually end up enrolling in CS in Fairfield.

@basilwat Website says 3.0 gpa to maintain Magis scholarship and 2.8 gpa for other scholarships.

Trying to find out the percentage of students who maintain the required gpa for scholarship.
