Hi, I would like to know how well I fit in to gain admission to RPI (Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute)

Senior in decently competitive public HS
Male - Indian Descent

**GPA:/b 3.67 (W) 3.82

SAT I: 700 Math, 740 CR, 730 Writing SAT IIs 720 Bio, 710 Math IIC

AP/Hons classes: AP Chem (4), AP Bio (3), AP Calc BC (4), AP Psychology (5) - Hon Physics, Hon PreCalc/Calc AB

Class Rank: Unknown, probably top 20%.

Essay: Decent essay about converting religions and how it alienated my friends etc. and how I changed from the exp.

ECs: Not many here - President of CAD Club (we do CAD drawings, even did some for some local engineering businesses), Varsity Math Team, ~100 hours volunteering at local clinic.

the guidance office has informed me that my GPA is actually NOT 3.82 as previously calculated but actually 3.7, my UW GPA is the same though, it seems as they had some sort of error, how much does this impact my previous chances? Especially for RPI, my target school?

i don't know the latest stats for RPI, but i guess you do, so check them out. since they are truly a MATH school, and have a select math group of applicants, i wonder if your SAT in math is a little weak for them given their focus?

I also heard that RPI got more than 10,000 applications this year, only 49% of which were accepted, so I'm a bit worried, but yeah my school doesn't overinflate grades, I think the highest grade in Honors Physics ever achieved was an A-.
