How was it guys?
any yoyo problems?

lol, I wish. More like chucking balls at levers to see what happens. Also, essay questions.

essay questions? what in the name

edit: is it worth it to write down tough mastering physics problems on the cheat sheet?

^^1 word 2 letters:

no

fajans is a terrible professor who probably couldn’t even explain gravity to a physicist (let alone demo it)

the midterm was okay, a bit more thinking than the last but still doable. good luck!

i basically just wrote down a couple of pointers dealing with how to approach problems (when to use conservation, energy, kinematics etc). do you think that should get me through it? I’ve done an alright amount of practice problems and have a pretty good understanding.

then again, we’ve got very different midterms. oh well, hopefully its not too bad.

omg I’m foreseeing another fail. ****

what was the workbook problem that he put for your guys midterm 2? it sucks that we dont get a key for it b/c my gsi skips alot of them… and for statics, is mastery of the mastering physics assignment 9 sufficient? that and energy I think I have a pretty good grasp on…or so i pray :(

my friend was telling me that for 7a, his professor tested on Power. And then I realized power and impulse were in our books too and i was like wow game over.

lol,

essay-ish concept Q on elastic collision

impossible problem also about elastic collision

power problem, not bad

easy torque problem

no, it’s not worth putting mastering physics on there. yes, know about power. points might be ok, probably better off reading the book for the concepts, unless your middy is really different…

edit: knowing the statics hw is more than enough, i didn’t see any wrksht problems on there…

what lec problem did u have?

listening to some of his lecs…goodgod he is a terrible professor. game over.

No lec problems, but i guess the torque problem with the ladder was kinda like in the wrksht.

damn i guess theres no chance we’ll get that one then. i actually know how to do that one!!!

aaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaahhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh

anyone have any leads or guesses as to which q’s will be on this thing? i wrote pretty much all of the MP on my cheat sheet. atleast one of them better show up or im gonna be ****ed/very very very sad

you do realize the likelihood of that is really slim considering what happened last midterm…in OUR class.
although i wouldn’t count similar problems out though.

wait what do you mean? what happened last time?

lol don’t go to class? the ski problem last midterm. about half the class or so copied it onto their cheat sheets and then some of that half copied it down on test incorrectly (apparently some blatant mistake that was repeatedly found). why do you think we got the email talking about how he’s gonna allow the cheat sheet (and why do you think our class average is so skewed…hell we nearly had a 80 average while the first lecture had a 66 average)

but like i said though, i wouldn’t doubt similar problems showing up because if lecture 1 class had a ladder/torque, we could have one too.

lol i try to go and fail repeatedly. oh yeah i knew about that…

a;lskdjf;alsk i just can’t help but feel screwed. i did so poorly on the last one because of the skew.

same. im just so afraid im gonna walk in their and just not know where to begin on any of them!!! damn 1st midterm was pretty skewed. but if he makes it harder this time because of that well that would still screw us over.
