<p>In our state, BOTH the person who is under-age and has someone else’s ID & the person who loaned the ID to the under-age person can be charged. I forget what the penalty was but I believe jail time and a fine were options for BOTH people involved. It ended up with an attorney representing the pair who were both very sorry & embarrassed about it.</p>
<p>To me, the risks far outweigh the benefits. I don’t BELIEVE my kids used fake IDs & now they’re >21. I believe D had friends who got in when under-age but never inquired as D wasn’t going to be present & she was >21 anyway.</p>
