Fake Part Time Transcript

So my roommate had to take a leave of absence from his school this semester because of poor performance. They told him that if he took like 8 credits part time anywhere and completed them successfully, he could come back next semester.

He enrolled part time at a local community college and, long story short, he is failing his courses because of absences and he thinks he cant bring up his grades anymore.

My concern is that now he is set on withdrawing from the courses, and forging his transcript to make it say he got good grades in the courses he took. I’ve been looking online to see if theres any legal ramifications to this and just how hard it would be to get away with, but i cant find anything about just some part time credits.

Im telling him not to do this and that this can seriously mess up his future but he thinks if he forges the transcript really well and sends it in that hell get away with it. If anyone knows anything about how this could go, please let me know so i can tell him so that he doesnt do it. Thanks in advance.

A college will require a transcript sent directly from the other college. If it has been in the student’s hands it is worthless.

He has to send official transcripts. It won’t work.

yea i figured as much, hes planning on sending it as the schools adress

There’s also the national student clearinghouse, so the school will be able to see that he withdrew early from the classes, even if he found some way to fake the transcript.

Transcripts usually have a registrar’s stamp and a raised seal. They will see through him immediately and will likely be expelled. Most cheaters are not as smart as they think they are.

Just tell your “roommate” to forget his crackpot scheme.

Nothing left to say, so closing thread. Everything said so far is accurate, but @guineagirl96 summed it up nicely; there is no if this would be discovered, only a when.
