Fake tan recommendations

I’ve used Sally Hansen Airbrush before and really liked it. Good temporary tan.

Tried out the Sublime Glow towelettes and I must say, it did just what it promised. I just wanted a touch of color on my legs and that’s what I got - yay! I didn’t use it on any other part of my body.

Funny. Yesterday I was at CVS and thought of this thread. I considered buying the towelettes but put them back. They were pretty expensive and I didn’t know if they would work. I am going to give them a try.

They had them on sale at Ulta. oh, here’s the deal [L'Oreal Sublime Bronze Self-Tanning Towelettes Ulta.com - Cosmetics, Fragrance, Salon and Beauty Gifts](http://www.ulta.com/ulta/browse/productDetail.jsp?productId=prod2108658) I had never been in one of those stores, but it was in a shopping center where I was going to another store so I stopped in.

Kathiep- that is a good price. They were almost $15 at CVS.

I recently used the St. Tropez lotion. It is on the pricey end of these products, and I could not find it in a store…@$29 through Amazon.

It has unusual application instructions, I had to watch the tutorial. Exfoliate and moisturize first. For applicaiton, you MUST use latex gloves, it goes on looking very uneven and is very dark brown, almost black, you buff it with a dry cloth and then it stays on for at least 4 hours, then you rinse off. So you must devote time to the application and it’s messy.

It looks good though, not too dark, and it is even. The darkness of the lotion helps you know where you put it, so you don’t miss a spot. It is also coming off evenly. I am moisturizing daily.

I agree with pale is best - but not if you have my skin. A little color definitely looks better on my skin. And self tanner deters me from being tempted to actually tan.

Thanks for the other tips on the products! Have to try some.

I have been using the moisturizers with just a hint of tanning product in them for 2 years. Right now I have the Jergens Natural Glow and I ONLY use it on my legs/feet. Since it only applies a small amount of bronzer each day, you don’t get major streaks and missed spots - you’re unlikely to miss the exact same spot every day. If, over the course of a week or so, you do see areas that are darker or lighter you can adjust your application the next day accordingly. After about a week I don’t use it every day, I put it on about every other day - I just look at my legs after I shower and decide if they’re getting a bit orangy - in which case I don’t put any on, or if they look too pale - in which case I do. A single tube of Jergens lasted me almost a month so it’s not very expensive.
