I got a letter saying that if I don’t get an appointment I am eligible of a Falcon Foundation Scholarship (however my appointment status isn’t determined yet). I’ve read about it but still don’t know much about it. Did anyone get the same thing?

for those of you who have falcon foundation scholarships. I think you guys still have a chance for a direct appointment. I had a foundation scholarship but I received a direct appointment (considering my gpa is like a 3.5). This is what my liason officer told me.

"Hannah -

What they are telling you is they want you and they do not want to lose you.
You're still in the running for an appointment.

However, once you are in the Academy prepatory
system, you are on your way to becoming a Cadet. Do some research on which
of these prep schools you might be interested in just in case bad things
happen, i.e., no appointment. If you want to be a Cadet, then say yes to
this offer. We talked about prep school after our interview. This is one of
those options."

my S is a USMA- WP 'prep"--WPPSP-(West Point Preparatory Scholarship Program) I believe similar to the Falcon.

While I have no doubt you woudl prefer to be a direct admit.... many cadets so the prep year was the best thing that could have happened to them .....
