Falcon Foundation

For some reason I can’t get a clear understanding of how Falcon Foundation scholarships are decided. Is it an automatic rollover from AFA admissions or a separate application? Anyone gone this route?

S is done with all the paperwork (for now) and just has to make it through the MsOC interviews in November. He’s sent so much certified mail he can drive to the post office blindfolded.

"He's sent so much certified mail he can drive to the post office blindfolded."

I did that today! ;)

I've heard over and over that it's simply a rollover from the AFA admissions. No seperate applications!

falconhopeful06 - That's what I thought. Thanks for the confirmation - may you be touched by his noodly appendage.

....wwfsmd?

Too funny.

about the falcon foundation

it's pretty much for kids who would be accepted under normal circumstances, but there's not spots for them this year in the class (for example, problems with nominations, number of peopel from his state/district already admitted)

Also if you have an awesome transcript but need help in chemistry, or calc, or are just didn't do well in one subject and the academy believes with just one more year of that subject will get you ready for the academy

it's a great program, people who I've talk to recommend NMI if you want to get ready for the academy, wentworth if you're hardcore, Northwestern prep school, if you just got unlucky, and are ready the academy but just need to wait out the year.
