I am interested in this program. Not sure whether it's Japanese or Chinese. But I would love to gain proficiency in either language in a year.
However, there are no reviews on this program. I have searched the internet and this forum. Nothing.

So has anyone on here done it or knows someone that has completed the FULL YEAR program? Which means summer, fall and spring.
What level of profiency can I expect to receive after this program on a scale from 1-10? "5" being intermediate, "8" being businesslevel and "10" being completely fluent.

You can choose either the Japanese or Mandarin Chinese FALCON program. I have two friends who did the Chinese FALCON and my Chinese friends tell me that they are pretty good, they know tons of characters and vocabulary, but their accents are understandably a bit off. Depending on which language you take, and your ability to grasp the language, I'd say FALCON can give you anywhere from a 6-9, with 7 being typical. I personally want to take Japanese FALCON but money and time issues will probably make it impossible for me to take.

I've read up on this before but I'm still not sure exactly how the program fits into a four-year undergraduate track. Are you supposed to take 5 years to complete your B.A. or B.S. if you go through the FALCON program since FALCON isn't technically a major? Is it possible to do FALCON + another major that doesn't overlap with its requirements (IE: not Asian Studies) in only four years?
