Are there any GPA Cutoffs for admissions to USAFA. I am curious, if a 3.5 GPA coming in from another college is good for academy standards. I am an international student from Ghana studying at a different college, and I want to know the necessary GPA CUTOFFS.
BY THE END OF THIS SEMESTER MY GPA WILL HOPEFULLY RISE FROM A 3.3 TO A 3.5 OR A 3.6. MY EC’S ARE:
SCHOOL JOB-(AT THE SCHOOL UNION)
SUMMER WORK EXPERIENCE
INTRAMURAL AND CLUB SOCCER
INTERNATIONAL STUDENT ASSOCIATION TREASURER
INTERNATIONAL BUSINESS CLUB
PLEASE HELP.

There's no way to really tell definitively unless you actually apply! I say go for it, and you have decent chances, especially with a 3.5. (DocFrance used to say that it SIGNIFICANTLY increases your chances of getting in from another college if you have a 3.5 or above...). I'm curious when you say "international student from Ghana"-does this mean you are a Ghanian citizen, or an American studying abroad in Ghana? If you are a citizen of Ghana, you can't apply directly. Anyways, you'll never know what your chances are unless you apply, so just go for it!

edemboi -- Elaborating on the above, if you are not a US citizen, you must apply to your own air force and then try to get in the Academy's exchange program. Don't know if Ghana is a country that reciprocates with USAFA but that information is on the academy website. Agree with Patriot, your 3.5 is ok.
