<p>I was considering doing the essay topic about faliure and the lessons you have learned but im not sure if my idea would hurt me or help me. I was rejected from NHS (details we wont go into) and would like to write about what i learned from it and how it effected my character. Good idea or risky idea?</p>

<p>I personally decided to stay away from the failure essay. I don’t want to highlight things that I’m not good at/didn’t go well. You will probably be fine, but that essay topic scares me.</p>
<p>It’s about how you actually triumphed, despite. And, in ways relevant to the folks who review your app. Remember this is show, not tell. Can you show how the rejection helped you evolve, moved you forward? Or just, I learned to suck it up? Remember, this is your college app- not a writing assignment in class.</p>
