Fall '04 Ucla Transfer Gpa

Any Fall 2004 UCLA transfer in here? Can you post your GPA and major? thanks...i applied to UCLA for Fall 2005 with current GPA of 3.7 and biochemistry major..i'm anxious and can't wait until MAY!

i applied for fall 2005 as well...but the competition is fierce for my major: business. 3.8gpa

Are u guys in TAP?

nope....not in tap

Hi guys... new member here. :) I applied for Fall 05 too... as a Microbio major. I have a 3.71 and am terrified I won't get in... I'm guarranteed to get into Davis (transfer admission agreement), but I really want to go to LA. Goodluck to everyone!

i think ccc biological science majors with 3.7+ (i have 3.695, hope they round up to 3.7) should have a decent shot at UCLA...anyone already got accepted into UCLA for fall 2004, please post your stats..thanks

4.0/Philosophy/Pre-Med

No..I have no life.

3.734 Business Economics

lilomui, do you the acceptance rate for bus econ at UCLA?

exillo, how do u do premed with a philosophy major? Have u taken any science classes?

Yeah my course load is a bit full...I have completed all of my GE's except foreign language. I have been taking the required science classes for pre-med AND the pre-req classes for a major in Philosophy...it keeps me busy, but I prefer it that way.

CC Student:

can u repeat that Q again?
u mean, do i know the acceptence rate?
im not very sure about that,
but i heard competition is very, very, very tough.

Yeah, that is what I meant. Sorry, I think faster, than I type. I heard it is tough too, but I was wondering how tough it is compared to Haas.

so is there anyone in here that has already been accepted as a transfer to UCLA...please post your stats!!

i guess those people that have already gotten into the university, they don't care much about this forum...

LOL true... ccct.... Well Pasadena City College just posted the Fall grades today so.. I got what I projected.. 3.76 (political Science)... applied to UCI and UCLA (tap).... I can't wait till May either... keeping my fingers crossed.... =) Good Luck everyone...

Poli Sci is a hard major at UCLA, but a 3.76 is a good GPA...

I'm waiting as well from UCLA, I'm a history major though.

Average GPA for admitted students depends largely on the major. From what Ive heard, the average acceptance gpa is between 3.4 and 3.5. Obviously, the more impacted the major, the higher the average is.

For majors with high GPA requirements (like comm studies, where they wont even look at you without a 3.5), the average is generally around a 3.7 or 3.8.

But yeah. I'm waiting too. The next couple months should be nice and hellish.

Fall 05 applicant, comm studies. 3.84, TAP & IGETC certified (Even though tap isnt considered for my major. Not bitter. Really. sigh).

do you know what the average GPA is for biochemistry major?

anyone have any ideas for the average transfer GPA for biochemistry to UCLA?

bump...bump...bump...
