Fall 09, bio 1a or bio 1b?

i'll be a sophomore in fall, and here are my proposed schedules:

1: bio 1b, chem 3b/3bl, physics 8a, and some easy class

2: bio 1a, physics 8a, math 53, and maybe some easy class

as you can see, i've never taken bio before, but i've heard nightmarish stories about taking bio 1b in the fall, so i'm not sure which one is the better route. i figured i'd take bio 1b and chem 3b/3bl together since chem is difficult and bio 1a/chem 3b doesn't sound like a pleasing combination.

so, i'd reallly, really appreciate any suggestions, thanks!

yea im rethinking about bio1a+chem 3b.. i might be screwed. i never took bio ap and i don't remember much bio from hs.

2 would get you better professors and coincidentally better grades

Bio 1B has a higher average GPA in springs and Bio 1A gives out a few more A's in fall.
Pedersen teaches Chem 3B in spring semesters and Vollhardt teaches it in fall semesters. Most people (but not necessarily all) I know like Pedersen and hate Vollhardt; I don't know their differences gradewise.

My "better professors" remark is not to be applied to physics or math

2 hands down. bio 1a/1al rocks in the fall!

^..rocks? good?
