Fall '09 Transfer to UNC Chapel Hill

I have the cardboard box as well

I also have the computer order logo and cardboard box.

Also, this is my first post here so I thought I would say hello. I'm a CC student from Upstate, NY. UNC is all I've been waiting for since my Freshman year. I applied as a prospective Junior. These next few weeks will probably be the longest of our lives. Atleast thats what it feels like.

^^I totally agree with you e22, whats your stats

I will be a Junior, pending all my credits transfer, and will hold an associate's in Lib. Arts.
-College GPA: 3.76
-3 semesters on Dean's list so far
-In my opinion my essay was good, and I spent quite some time perfecting it.
-Worked in a management role in a fine dining restaurant for almost 3 years now.
-Extracurriculars: HS varsity wrestling 4 years, current volunteer wrestling coach, 3 years leadership training program, volunteer job, etc.
-My high school record is less than stellar. However, I did have good state test scores.

Since they place less emphasis on high school for junior transfers I hope that I will get in. What does everyone think?

P.S. I can barely focus on my current classes. UNC is all I spend my free time thinking about! haha

lol same here........I JUST WANT TO KNOW

In my opinion your stats look fantastic and I think you'll probably get in

I received the same diversity email gator..are you currently at UF?

I'm getting nervous everyone is getting these diversity email and I'm not.

I did not receive it either, but I have a feeling it may de directed towards minorities and foreign students. Because Gators2008 is African-American and the other person was Hispanic or African-American too.

i'm asian, so doesnt that make me a minority.

i didnt get it. im white.

Yeah. I really would not worry about it. What are your stats?

3.56- College GPA applying as Junior Status
3.6- High School GPA
ExtraCirricular-Volunteering, Internship, and an after school job.
SAT- did not submit

the other person was Mexican. I looked at past transfer threads and it was stated that the diversity email probably doesn't mean anything so no need 2 b nervous

Wow Pop89, you have the same college GPA as me but I have a bit higher HS GPA an

Bruin, wow that cool. Are you in state or out of state?

Out of state. But I asked UNC if it mattered, because I knew it did for freshmen and they said all applicants are looked @ the same way for transfer unless you're in the CC program.

Good, cause I'm out of state. I'm freaking nervous. I'm guessing your from california from your name.

Nope. You'd be wrong, lol. UCLA was my first choice school for freshmen year but being from out of state did not help any matters lol so I'm not a Bruin.

lol. oh. California is the worst with the out of state students

I'm currently a Freshman at Appalachian State and am wondering my chances of being admitted through transfer.
