Hi all, I submitted my application mid-late February as an upper-division transfer to FSU for the Fall 2014 semester and have yet to hear back. It's killing me! Has anyone else who's transferring from a non-FL community college heard back? Also, did your online status check ever say "pending" or anything like that? Mine has that everything is received, checked for completeness, satisfied, etc. but nothing that says the true "status" of the application. Anyone know if that's typical? Admissions didn't say my app was I complete when I called...but still, it's making me nervous that I have yet to hear anything!

Keep in mind that since February, FSU has had to handle incoming freshman applications for both summer and fall, and also summer applications for transfers. Departments also have had to go through a lot of incoming grad school applications since most deadlines have now passed and they’ll be determining who gets accepted.

I would expect that you’ll hear something in a few weeks. Typical turnaround is about 8-10 weeks it seems.

Hey, my friend. I’m a Florida community college and got accepted 4 days ago for the fall semester! You should be hearing from them soon if you haven’t already.

Hi, I just got accepted today. Good Luck

Thanks for your replies, guys! I STILL haven’t heard back, and it’s killing me. I called admissions earlier this week and they told me they had just started reviewing my application, so I should be hearing back very soon. I’m going to assume everyone transferring from a FL CC got reviewed first and given priority. Fingers crossed there will be a spot for me somewhere in there!

Give it till Memorial Day, and you should be good. Like I said above, Fall applications from anyone haven’t really been a huge priority. Once they start reviewing your application, and as long as you have everything in for them already, it shouldn’t take more than a couple weeks to get an answer.

Okay, I heard back last week and I’m in!!! Thanks for the replies, everyone! See you in the fall ;)

Congrats! Welcome to the Tribe.

I applied in early March and haven’t heard anything yet. I am out of state also. Is there anyone else that hasn’t heard back?
