Fall 2006 Schedule

I am thinking whether I should drop one of the classes

Math 1A 4 units
Physics 8A 4 units
ESPM 50AC 4 units
Asian American Studies 20A 4 units
A seminar 1 unit

Do you think as a Freshman, 17 units for my first semester is too much?

Any help would be appreciated.

Math 1A shouldn't be that hard. Physics 8A...dunno. Asian American Studies shouldn't be TOO hard either. I would guess...it's doable, but certainly not easy.

17 units for a freshman is not unheard of, but is more difficult than most freshmen's schedules. I have 15 units and to some people that is too much (at least in from my mom's viewpoint anyway). Then again, I only have class 3 times a week this semester; indeed, having a large unit schedule is not necessarily a terrible thing. Your core schedule is indeed rigorous, but with good time scheduling and a strong work ethic, it's quite doable.

Huh. So, my 20 units will be bad? I only have, like, three upper-division classes.

For a freshman, I'd say that is quite excessive. Ahem.
