Fall 2007 engineering math

I think I got at least a 4 on the AP calc BC exam. Should I sign up to accept credit and move directly onto math 192?

I'm comfortable with most of the topics that math 191's supposed to cover, except for series and hyperbolic functions. I didn't pay much attention during series and was prepared for the exam only because I really crammed. And I haven't a clue what hyperbolic functions are, I don't think we even covered those. In case it matters, I didn't actually take the AP calc class; instead I took IBHL math, which was hard in its own way but wasn't as calc-intensive.

Any suggestions?

If you feel comfortable go ahead and sign up. If you find yourself over your head they allow you to drop down to 191 after the first prelim with no penalty, so if you want to do it give it a shot

I never knew anything about hyperbolic trig functions either. You don't use them at all (or we didn't) in 192 but they'll come up in 293 - they're not hard, though.

I guess for now I'm going to give it a shot and review a little bit over the summer. Like when is the first prelim?

take the credit.
here's the prelim schedule: <a href="http://cuinfo.cornell.edu/Academic/PRELF.html%5B/url%5D">http://cuinfo.cornell.edu/Academic/PRELF.html</a></p>

ohhhhhh faaaaaack im so lost

if you're comfortable then take the credit. I took calc in high school, didn't take the AP test (I didn't really get what they were for) so when I got here and took calc 1(not engineering but im just sharing) it was basically the same thing again. Easy-A, but waste of time.
