I made my daughter's appointment today for FSU. I talked to the sweetest girl, Katie, on the phone. She was so gracious and informative. What a great first impression of the department! I know that when our children audition, their first impressions are important in the outcome of their audition. On the flip side of that, I think that the first impression of each school is of equal importance since we are in a sense auditioning the school to see what will be a good match for our children. Thank you FSU for having such a lovely young lady in your office.

Thank you so much - that is good to hear. At this busy time I have three students (not MT) who help my Assistant answer the phone and make audition appointments. I am glad they are representing us well.

Just a reminder that FSU audition dates fill up rather quickly. My d had two friends last year that were on the waitlist to audition. One was moved off the waitlist, but the other was not. She was very disappointed as FSU was one of her top schools. I believe that you must submit your application before you can request an audition date.

Thank you Nolamom; we do fill rather quickly. The entire panel watches every audition, so that limits how many candidates we can see.

It is NOT required that a candidate apply before requesting an audition. To request an audition, you only need to call. It is necessary to submit the University application before December 1st.
