Good luck to everyone including me!

Wow, I would say you are a very strong candidate. There is another thread name " Engineering Grad Applicants 2008 " where other EE applicants (including me) are hoping on discussing, c u there! It might be a good idea to talk to a wider audience other than EE only because most departments of the same engineering schools make decisions at almost the same time.

Thanks, floopydrive. Actually I intended to post under the "Engineering Grad App 2008" but I'm afraid that many CS applicants wouldn't enter since for many schools, computer science is under "school of arts & science" while for others, it is under "engineering school". However, I would like to post there too.

BTW, I think CS is quite competitive especially for top universities. I know many CS applicants with excellent grades and experiences. I hope to be lucky enough to enter those univs. :)

I'll post this for my son.

Univ. of Florida

hmm rogracer.. is ure son really stressed out or are u taking his stress load as well? Its bad enough I check my emails almost evey 10 minutes, but if my parents were flipping too: that calls for serious back flipping! I dont mean any harm, just that maybe your son needs more of a pep talk than posts. and he seems to have an excellent profile.. if i were u, i'd kick back and relax.. i'm sure he will get in somewhere GREAT

Naw...my son doesn't post on these boards. Just me...have for years off and on. Now that my son is applying to grad school, just thought I'd add to the information profile of accepts/rejects when the time comes.

My main source of stress is related to the financial-aid aspect of paying for all this :)

has anyone heard from any of the california schools (stanford, berkeley, ucsd, ucsb, etc) for EE phd?

Sadsong, the official notification should start from mid to end of Feb, some schools will start from early March. So do not worry for not hearing from them.

if you check gradcafe, there a few responses from UCSD.

berkly started their rejection pile.

crossedfingers, how about berkeley's acceptances? have they started sending any out?

Whats the source of the Berkeley news guys?

I'd like to know the answer to floopydrive's question as well..

Any RICE applicants around? If so can you check your application status online under "Track Your Status"?

To floopydrive: it's all blank.

I've been invited to their recruitment weekend though (all expenses paid) on Feb. 14-16. Any of you guys coming?

Wow, thats great for you qqk. I did not hear from them, so either I am rejected or its because I am international. In any case do post the details and your opinion of the school. Where else did u apply?

wow, seems like stanford sent out a huge group of CS rejections (gradcafe.com has so many....)

does anyone know when MIT decisions will start to come out?

MIT seems to have sent out a bunch of decisions today as per gradcafe
