Fall 2008 Orientation

So besides the orientation offered in the summer, is there another one around the last week of August for the ones who couldn't make the summer one? I'm talking about the CAS orientation, since each school seems to have a different one. And what about for students coming from overseas?

yes, the last week in august there Welcome week. It includes a 2 day orientation for those that couldn't come in June. The only real disadvantage is that you pick your classes later than the other students (who will do so at the orientation in June)

<a href="http://www.nyu.edu/src/events.traditions/welcome.week.html%5B/url%5D">http://www.nyu.edu/src/events.traditions/welcome.week.html</a></p>

Hi, thanks for the response but on the page it says: "While Welcome Week does feature workshops on academic success, academic registration and advisement is not a component of Welcome Week. Advisement and registration are part of the orientations sponsored by NYU schools and departments, which new students are required to attend."

What does that mean?? And I thought you could register for courses online?

I don't think freshman can register for fall classes online for their first semester.

I'm nearly 100% sure that there will be a chance to register for those that can't go to the orientation in June

New York University | College of Arts and Science | Freshman Orientation here is the info about the June orientation. FYI, this costs about $300

i registered online for all my fall classes as a freshman. it became available on Albert around mid-June

Did you go to June orientation before you were able to register? I think the person who asked that question was from overseas an might not go to the June thing.

Does Stern let you register your classes online, since their June orientation is optional?

So unless you go to the orientation, you can't register online beforehand?
