Fall 2009 Acceptance letter

Furman is also $40,000 a year. :</p>

Is Clemson rolling? How long does it typically take to hear back from them after submitting your app?

It's not rolling anymore, if you submitted your application before Dec. 1 you will find out around Feb. 15. The final deadline is May 1

Was it rolling at the beginning of the admissions period because I wasn't expecting a letter until February when I submitted my application in October, but I got the letter at the end of November...

rfwcphs1 - did you have really good stats? Maybe that is why you got offered admission earlier than most? Did you get an Out of state waiver of tuition? It seems they send those out sooner

No, the ended rolling admissions starting this year, it's either because you were a highly qualified applicant or maybe there was an earlier priority deadline...Not sure

I received an OOS tuition waiver along with my acceptance. So I bet that's why I got it earlier

ya that would be why lol...congrats. are you planning on going to Clemson next year? I'm in state and it's my number 1 ahead of USC.

I submitted my app in late Dec but completed everything about a week ago... My SAT is 2040/2400 (680 M,680 R,680 W)... and i'm in the top 8% of my class.I'm OOS. Do you think ill receive any scholarship money, or atleast an OOS tuition waiver?

Not sure about scholarships but you are pretty close to me stat wise and I got an OOS tuition waiver...

ya Clemson is known to give few scholarships but an OOS tuition waiver sounds reasonable

Is Clemson really known for giving only a few scholarships? That makes me nervous.. haha. Cause I need more than an OOS tuition waiver to attend...

Same with me. What about Calhoun Honors College? Is that very competitive? Based on my stats above, what do you think my chances are?

Well I know a girl (in-state) who has roughly a 2100 and ranked top 5 in our class and her initial scholarship offer was only $1000 per year but the letter also said that more scholarship money is awarded after the February acceptances. Good luck, I hope I get into Clemson period lol.

Anyone hear back lately from clemson?

Heard back from Clemson today. Accepted!

Details, ledwards, details. Did you receive a letter in the mail, and if so, large or small? Also, if you don't mind saying, are you located in South Carolina? (If you prefer not to specify your home state, please provide your geographic region -- e.g., southeast.) And congratulations!

After reading these threads, I am really nervous about my son's acceptance. We are OOS and his stats are different than most posted. He has a weighted GPA of 4.6 and is in the top 2% of his class (8 of 448)... but, his SAT and ACT were low. He scored 1730 on SAT and 26 ACT. We need the OOS waiver. How much emphasis are put on the test scores as opposed to GPA and rank?

My D got her acceptance letter today! Clemson is not her first choice, but the last school to hear from! A friend got in with a 25 on the ACT, so maybe...

I received an 8 by 11 letter with congratulations written on it. I am oos(Charlotte, NC).
