Fall 2009 acceptance letters

Jt, my last name starts with a W so I don't think so...but I know a looooot of people who haven't heard anything yet ! They probably have just gotten so many applications this year.. Poor regular decisions, the're gonna hear late too. =(

Anyway, hang tight! I hope they'll get to you soon! We had this theory that it was by major, but now that i'm reevaluating that theory cause too many people are still waiting for it to be that...

Edit: Oh yes, and I applied Oct. 12th haha. My file was complete Oct 24th...that might've been why i've heard already.

What the heck does this mean? My status changed today to Decision Complete but that's all it says. Is there a way to get more info or do I have to wait for my letter? Sounds like bad news. Anyone know?

Mom2JRA, from what I understand, that could mean a variety of a few things. It could mean that you may have been accepted, under certain circumstances. For example, you may have gotten into a different major than what you had applied for. It also could mean that you have been wait listed. However, I have heard, looking at last years' posts, that it has tended to mean that you may have been rejected. You never know though! Can't ever know until you get your letter! :) Stay strong!

Anyone know when we can expect to hear about scholarships...?

do you guys know how many transfer apply ??? and when transfer decisions come out? thank you! and goood luck!

my status on webadvisor was changed to "admission approved".. does that mean i was accepted? I haven't gotten anything in the mail yet.

jt2791, YUP! That means you are accepted! Your packet should come in like a week, thats when my did. :D Congrats! Hope to see you at orientation!!

Decision complete meant last year for my son that they had decided - but hadn't said what the answer was.

Two days later, it was updated to say "Admissions Approved".

what was your guys stats?????

got the chancellors scholarship letter in the mail today 18,000 p/y. very happy!

faithwins: when did you get your acceptance? do you mind sharing your stats?

i was accepted on the 13th via webadvisor, got my letter on the 17th. i am super nervous about the scholarships. /:

i'm expecting to get rejected from the school i applied ed2 at within the next two weeks, so, it would be nice to have my chapman scholarship letter by then as comfort! (since it's my 2nd or 3rd choice.)

Was accepted on the 15th, got my letter about 10 days later, scholarship letter yesterday... it might be in the mail now!

Be patient, seniors!

Application numbers are up everywhere this year, and letters may take longer than normal - for all the colleges you apply to.

Thanks, faithwins! And congratulations btw! :)

anyone heard from Chapman who applied early as a Film Production major yet? I'm scared that they'll post their decision while I'm out of town from the 13th to the 20th. I really want to know!

My webadvisor changed from 'decision pending' to 'fall term grades requested.' anybody else in my situation?

Has your school sent the transcript after the first term of classes, yet? Nearly every school wants the mid-year grade report. That may be holding up your application decision.

they said they had finished reviewing my app but need the mid-term grades so they have a more complete picture of me

Mine says "File complete, Decision Pending"

Does this mean that I don't need to send in any more information?

In the next few days, there will be an update - either accepted or denied. If accepted, you will have to send in your final transcripts from your high school.

Make sure you follow the FAFSA deadlines, as well. Get your FAFSA done now. I believe the last day for priority financial aid is March 1st or 2nd for Chapman. If your parents haven't filed taxes yet, just put in the estimates. It is always easier to go in and fix actual wages and such, then wait and then not get an early financial aid package.

If you are a possible Cal Grant/Pell Grant recipient, also make sure you get your grades verification (if a CA student) - your counselor at the high school will know how to do this. This has a March deadline, as well.
