Just called. Official notifications will be sent out Friday (email and regular mail), but it is possible - thought not guaranteed! - that we may hear before then.

Friday meaning next Friday, not today? Hmm… I guess they’re sticking to the May 15th date. Maybe they’ll come out before Monday for the people that specifically said they needed to commit to a school by then?

Thats weird since other people have called and they said before Monday because they had to commit

guess i should qualify my answer.

I had to contact Yale and Columbia because I have to make a decision very soon on another university in order to get housing. So, I emailed the boards of admission, and they sent back the information I’ve shared.

Given, all information through those communications is unofficial, but they both seemed helpful and realistic in when I would receive an answer. I did something similar with JHU, but they didn’t divulge any information whatsover and remained entirely unhelpful (…).

Just for those doubting Thomas figures out there (if you’ll excuse the biblical reference)

Also, just a helpful hint for those who are so worked up about the admissions process (understandably so). “Inside information” isn’t really hard to comeby, just call the school and ask to speak to one of the admissions people. If you have a good reason for calling, they’re generally very hepful and candid with admissions information.

I doubt they really care for secrecy, just expedience.

so tiredof do you think they are releasing admission decisions today (or before Monday) to only those who have specifically requested it earlier to commit or are they releasing to everyone?

There are only a few more hours left before their offices close, so I guess if we sit tight we’ll know soon enough :)

Hm. Just called as well, I was told ON May 15th… and mentioned I had a conflict and needed to let another school know by Monday. So… well, I guess we’ll see.

the person I talked to said friday evening unofficially, so if not in the next 50 minutes, I suppose before Monday. My money is on the next fifty minutes though

and he implied that everyone would be getting their decision not just special request

Nothing in the mail… We have been duped !
I don’t know if they would email the decisions.
Didn’t last year’s group get all there decisions online ON the 15th?
So much for anticipation…

Ahh! I hope you’re right :)

hey, i just logged in to the web that we used to submit our apps, and it says

“Decisions will be available on Friday, May 8, 2009 after 6pm Eastern Time. Click the “Your application decision is now available online” link below Application for Admission Part 1.”

It’s really TODAY!!!

you can already view it right now. reject…

They kind of hid the decisions online, it took me forever to find. And to get rejected. Whatever, good luck guys
