Who else has applied already? Once anything with your status changes or you receive information from financial aid, post it in here so that we'll be able to see it all in one place.. Instead of 50 different threads.

I applied last week and on myUCF it says that my HS Transcript status has "No message about transcript." What does that mean?! My dual enrollment transcript says that it hasn't been received yet, even though I had it sent last Friday. I think if it isn't posted as being there by the time I get home tomorrow, I'm going to call UCF to see if they have gotten it and if not, call my CC.

Or just talk about how anxious you are until you get in or go to UCF.

Good luck to you all!

I haven’t applied for Fall 2010. However, I do plan on applying for Spring 2010. I originally applied for UCF for Spring 2009 and it took about one week to 10 days from when they received all my transcripts. Where did you sent your transcripts from?

I would give it sometime for them to receive and post your transcripts. They are one of the largest Universities in Florida. I say if you don’t hear anything by next Tuesday or Wednesday, I would give them a call.

Good Luck

My transcript took weeks for them to formally “recieve”. Don’t forget they have to file everything for each applicant in its own file. So…i’d be suprised if it was already recieved at this point. lol

I’m taking the ACT tomorrow and all my information should be sent in by the end of this month. I’m stumped upon deciding whether to apply for fall or summer. My SAT scores are horrible, so hopefully the ACT will do me some justice, and perhaps they will offer me summer term, if not fall. Best of luck to all of us!!!

My three sons had mixed luck with the electronic transmission of transcripts. If 2-3 weeks pass from the time your school says they have sent them and the website still says they haven’t been received, have your school re-send, but ALSO get a hard-copy and mail it in, certified or with a delivery receipt. The earlier you are accepted the more merit aid is available, and my oldest son almost missed a scholarship at a different Florida school because of transcripts bouncing through the ether. Since then, when in doubt we’ve sent a hardcopy too. Good luck and GO KNIGHTS!!!

I applied for Fall 2010 on July 3, 2 days after the app came online. It took about 2 weeks for them to receive my hard copy transcript, and I just sent another electronic transcript with my senior year classes on it. I have a 3.763 GPA, a 28 ACT, a 20hr/wk job 75+ hrs of community service. My essays were about average. I live right by UCF so I would like to attend. I am hoping I have a good chance. Go Knights!

2Black69- I would definitely say you’re in!
Mizzxvii- My SATs were horrible too! Did ok on the ACT (27). I took it again today to try to get into Honors & for Bright Futures.

So I called UCF yesterday and they updated my HS transcripts while I was on the phone with them. But my CC forgot to send my transcripts to UCF! They sent them to the other 3 schools I applied to. I’ll be calling them again tomorrow to be sure they’re sent.

So I have UCF still waiting on a transcript, yet I was admitted into FGCU already.

Took ACT today… let’s just say, I wish my butt wasn’t so lazy. Really wished I took a practice test before getting myself into the real deal. The reading part killed me. I hate the reading part. I can never concentrate. The math part was easy at first, but midway into the test to the end, I started bubbling in C’s. T_T SIGHS.

Dance, why are you even worried!! UCF will accept you without a doubt if you have a 27 on the ACT!! But then again, you’re trying to get into the Honors program… good luck with everything!

Reading was really hard this time! Some of the math was really hard, but I’d say it was average.

Mizzxvii- I’m not that worried about getting in, but more about financial aid. I need at least 2 more points to possibly get into Honors too. Thank you and good luck to you too!

Yes, the Reading part WAS hard. I actually thought it was harder than the SAT Reading portion. And the time limit definitely killed me, as it took me forever to comprehend the passage. It’s just too hard to concentrate and understand it fully the first time. I didn’t even have time to read the last passage!

As for the Math, my Geometry skills are really rusty, so that’s probably where my problem is. I took Trigonometry last year, but also completely forgot how to do all the functions. I think I’m signing up for the next test… and actually study for it.

You know what though? Science was actually pretty mediocre for me. I didn’t read anything and went straight to the questions, to only find out you didn’t really need to read any extra information they give.

I’m in Calc, so I would have thought I’d be ok on the math. But some of the trig was really hard… and we just reviewed identities too!

So I called UCF today about my transcripts from my CC. They now told me that I don’t have to send those and to ignore any message about not having a transcript from there because I am applying as a freshman. What the hell.

About an hour ago I logged into myUCF.

I am now accepted for Fall 2010!

Wah!! Congrats Dance!! I’m so happy for you! Mind sharing the stats you sent in to them? D;

I got accepted to Fall 2010 as well!

Congrats!!! So exciting to hear of an acceptance! Is this your first?

Thanks guys!

I have about a 4.2W/3.7UW (I calculated my core GPA a while ago and can’t remember) and 27 ACT. I sent my horrible SAT, but they would have ignored that with my ACT. Plus the usual community service, job, clubs etc.

Jersey- This is my second acceptance. I heard from Florida Gulf Coast U last week.

Hi All
If someone was dual enrolled at UCF, do you think it is easy to switch to full time for 2010. They would already have ACT scores, etc. and transcripts. Did you all send in recommendations? Scored 32 junior year. AP Scholar with Distinction, etc.

Anyone belong to the Honors College at UCF? Did you hear at the same time?

Thanks!

Hey collegesgirl, iI dont know about about dual enrollment but I can help you with any questions about the Honors College. I can tell right away with a 32 ACT and being dual enrolled you should probably get in without problems. However you have to apply to the Honors College separately from applying to UCF. After I got accepted into UCF, they mailed me an information packed about the Honors College so I could apply if I was interested. I finally applied and sent in all the things it asked for and got accepted about 3 weeks later. If you want to speed things up though, you don’t have to wait for them to mail you the Honors application after being accepted into UCF, you can ask for one and they will mail it to you ASAP.

After reading about your acceptances I’m getting really nervous an anxious!!! Well moreso than I already was ha

I had all my stuff in by July twentysomething for summer 2010 why don’t I know yet!??!

Worried!

I have a 3.5 weighted and a 28 act and a 1930 sat…a 1270 combined reading and math. Agh!!

I wouldnt worry futureknight, while ur weighted GPA could be an eeentsy bit higher to be more competative, ur SAT score is great. It just takes time for them to process all the paperwork. Last year when I was accepted by FIU, several of my friends were worried because they had applied before me and hadnt gotten word in a while, but eventually they got in. It just takes a little time, but itll be worth waiting in the end when u find out u get to be a knight (:
