Hah, all three of us are like on the same boat. All we can do is pray and hope at this time. Today is officially 2 weeks since they received my application. They only updated my online status that they received the transcript about 3 days ago, though…

And Kael, I have no clue what you are talking about with the whole ‘stars’ thing. It’s the first I’ve heard of it. Mind clearing it up for me? Dx

so true! my friend who had practically the same scores as me just had her status change to what seabreeze was saying about getting more competitive scores…it was exactly a month when they changed her status so im pretty sure mine will probably change december 1st, but i already have a feeling im going to need more competitive scores so gonna study hard for that act, try everything i can to raise it ;)

Mizzxvii, sorry about the confusion…i was talking about this site i had went on which kind of listed the most important to not even considered and they ranked it by stars (5 stars means its highly considered, 1 star meaning it doesnt matter at all) its similar to this site:
[University of Central Florida Admissions Information - CollegeData College Profile](University of Central Florida Acceptance Rate | CollegeData)
where it says selection of students and how it ranks it very important to not considered…state residency (being in state) is considered so thats a good thing atleast i thought they considered class rank though

I’m from Long Island, NY and I am about to apply to UCF. It’s like one of my top schools so if I get rejected I’ll be really upset.

ACT: 22 (no writing)
SAT: 1440
TRUE AVG: 81.16
WEIGHTED AVG: Around an 87
EC: Varsity Baseball starter for 3 years

Hope i can get in. id love the opportunity
the grades posted here are like ridiculous so thanks for scaring me and making me even more pessimistic now

ayjbay is ur SAT score 1440 with or without writing? it seems to me that its with writing because that would match your ACT score more but just checking. Whats your SAT score with just the math and critical reading sections? Your GPA could be a little higher but for the most part its fine. Your test scores are kind of low, however. So you may want to study and test again or apply for summer to increase your chances. If UCF is your dream school, you wont regret doing applying for summer because youll get a leg up on most people and help your chances of getting in.

Yes, my SAT score is a combined math/reading/writing score. My friend has similar grades with a 27 ACT though and got accepted, yet he doesn’t have any desire to go here. I’m so jealous.

ayjbay, I just got accepted for summer 2010 with a 22 ACT. GPA is a 3.66 based on UCF’s scale. Apply for summer term if you want to get an early response. :] Don’t be too pessimistic… it’ll all work out.

Kael- oh, i thought you were talking about something else! Have you considered going summer term, or are you set on going fall term? I hope you get accepted either way!

My son applied 2 months ago. He got a 1090 on his SATS and only 15 on acts. He has won many fine arts awards for his photography and is editor of the schools yearbook. He was deffered. He also has applied with disability status. Does anybody know if ucf gives preference for disabled status?
