I just got my Waitlist letter the other day. Anyone else here Waitlisted? Also only 80 students were selected to be on the waitlist, so does this mean more people will get picked? I chose to remain on the Waitlist, did anyone else do the same or opt out?

I also got wait-listed. I decided to remain on the list, however, my best guess on what happens if you do keep yourself on the list is this:
- after you send in your end of term transcript, you are reviewed alongside other wait-listed candidates.
- the most desirable of those candidates are chosen for admission if an admitted transfer student declines enrollment. I think they’ve admitted a maximum number of students and will allow other applicants a place if they can.

I also found this: I hope to god these stats are correct.

[College of William & Mary Guide](http://www.enotes.com/college-of-william-mary-guide)

Hope what stats are right? That over 110 transfer students turn down their acceptance?

I am unclear but are all of you talking about going to William and Mary in the fall as “transfer” students? Not incoming freshman? Thanks.

Yes, the thread is “transfer.” haha

The fact that we waitlisted more transfer applicants does not mean more will be admitted from the waitlist. We have to wait until all deposits are sent from those offered admission and then gauge whether there’s room for additional transfer admits.

The best thing to do is send your final transcript as soon as its ready. If we’re able to admit transfers from the waitlist, the Committee will reconvene and admit the most competitive.

All students will be notified by mid June as to their status on the waitlist.
