Fall 2010 Transfers?

So maybe I'm a bit early, but I'm really not satisfied with winding up at a state uni (SUNY Buffalo) after doing so much work in HS.
Anyway, I just have a few questions after reading the stickies and whatnot.
Don't wanna list every stat to my name, but I have about a 90/100 average (think that's a 3.5 gpa but I'm not sure) and about a 2000 SAT and 30 ACT, but I don't have many extracurriculars except for community service. I'm thinking that as a transfer, leadership will be looked at fairly heavily, so I'm wondering what kind of activities I can do in my freshman year of college that show leadership?
I'm hoping to apply to a few ivys for transfers (super-reaches, I know) and maybe some reaches I applied to this year but got rejected from (Tufts, Duke, Wesleyan), along with a couple of targets, and possibly a safety if I really don't like the SUNY.
Obviously I'm aiming for a 4.0, but we'll see how that'll turn out.

I am also thinking of transfering in fall 2010, but I am already enrolled in state university.
Are SAT’s or Subjects tests required to transfer to ivies??
For eight, establishing club by oneself or working closely with other organization can help add new dimension to your resume.
Good luck in advance.

Transferrequired,
I would highly recommend reading the Top Threads at this page: Transfer Admissions 101. They should be able to answer all of your questions. SATs are required for almost all transfer students.
But, in specific, eight, there are many things you can do to get involved freshman year - Student Government in specific is very popular. This is in Residential Life as well, not just regular Student Government. There are also Debate teams, Model UNs, and many other clubs. There are freshman leaders and tour guides. Obviously, a transfer student can not be expected to be a president of every club if they are in their first year and are planning to leave. But, speak with a transfer counselor at your school and you can talk to them about what they look for in a transfer there. That’s often a great tip.
Good luck to both of you!
