Fall 2011 Acceptances

@bsfswisher, someone posted earlier with a link to a thread from the class of '14, and actually decisions came out at 11 AM on the 13th (the saturday).

Very sound logic, I think You are right.

Oops, sorry if I missed that link! I’ll go search for it, but just for reference, I was referring to this thread… http://talk.collegeconfidential.com/university-california-san-diego/881002-2014-ucsd-decisions-statistics.html

Anyways, I’ll go try to find that other one and regardless, I hope decisions come out soon! LOL

I don’t think that decisions are coming out today.

My sister, who is a current UCSD student, informed me that the UCSD Scholar’s Society is hosting a phone-a-thon next Thursday, Friday, and Saturday, and some people who are admitted will get phone calls. Supposedly, decisions are supposed to come out right after the phone-a-thon, so my guess is that we’ll hear near the end of next week.

it IS the end of the week…

@dacrzazn93 As in, the end of next week. Edited my post to clarify.

I think heshing means next Thursday-Saturday (3/17-3/20).

I keep refreshing, NOTHING :/

UGH I am so nervous my hands are literally shaking :(

But on Ms. Sun’s website it states that decisions are coming out right before mid-march. It’s always been extremely close to UCLA.

Description:
Be the first to notify high school seniors about their admission into UCSD as Regents Scholars!"

I would assume that Regents Scholars would find out about their admissions status before anyone else. That’s how UC Berkeley does it, correct?

So…they’re distributing decisions via phone calls? That doesn’t sound right…that’s tens of thousands of phone calls for applicants and that just doesn’t sound very UC-y to me. Too hands on

Not all decisions. If you read what I posted more closely, it’s only for Regents Scholars, so I assume that other decisions come out on the site after this Phone-a-Thon business.

maybe all decisions come out and then they call the people who got regents to notify them about their scholarship

Haha, you guys seem to be overlooking what I posted! It’s not random, the site specifically says that it’s for Regents Scholars.

@lieslies – if you look at last year’s equivalent of this thread, you’ll see that some of the Regents scholars were called and told they were accepted a day or two before actual decisions were released

Maybe for UCSD they tell admits about Regents after all admissions are out? I know Berkeley does it before admissions go out, but I agree that it seems like UCSD should be coming out this weekend or Monday. Either way, I got into UCLA yesterday, so now I’m more concerned for my friends that got rejected from UCLA and are hoping for UCSD.

hourglassartist is right.
They call Regents first, and everyone finds out after.
So expect your decisions around Thursday / Friday / Saturday.

I really want to agree with ecflip11, but the empirical evidence that petaandpita brought up is probably more accurate. So if that’s true, we’ll find out either the end of next week or beginning of the week after.

SD’s not my first choice, but it’s definitely in my top five. I even have a hoodie! :)

What about this though?

[Ms. Sun’s UC Admissions Blog - Freshman Decision Time Line UPDATED + Waitlist Information](Error)
“San Diego - all decisions come out right before mid-March”

Ugh, so much conflicting info…

Ms. Sun isn’t affiliated with UCs at all. It specifically says that on her profile information. She gathers this information from “research and experience, but it is not sanctioned by the University of California or any of its campuses”.
