So whats the new guestimated time of CC that UCSD admission will be released?

Leakers - you are the ultimate napper. I’m so jealous.

@jack2011

We’ll let UCSD tell you. They know better than us.

I was happy that i got an 4.33GPA last sem. and this sem. i have 4.60GPA and talking 10units at cc college (4.0 college gpa). Today i waked up looked at my email, then i got this letter. You know what is funny i thought i will get accepted into MIT. Life sucks.

Dear :

After careful review of your application for admission, we regret to inform you that we are not able to offer you admission for the Fall Quarter 2011. UCLA continues to receive more applications for admission than we can accommodate in our freshman class. For fall 2011, we received more than 61,000 applications for 5,300 available spaces for freshmen.

Each application is unique, and each student presents wonderful attributes and potential. Our work is extraordinarily difficult: admission officers thoroughly review each application and carefully balance grades, coursework, test scores, honors, awards, community service, leadership, and work experience. Admission officers also consider the opportunities and challenges students face while achieving so much in their schools and communities. Ultimately, no single attribute or achievement guarantees admission—there are simply too many well-qualified, accomplished, and capable applicants for the number of freshman spaces available at UCLA.

If attending the University of California, Los Angeles remains your ambition, you should know that there are other opportunities for admission. UCLA also accepts applications from junior-level transfer students. To learn more about transferring to UCLA and how to optimize the transfer experience, please visit [Transfer Admission Process - UCLA Undergraduate Admissions](http://www.admissions.ucla.edu/transfer) or [Transfer Alliance Program - UCLA Undergraduate Admissions](http://www.admissions.ucla.edu/tap).

We wish you success in your academic endeavors.

Sincerely,
Vu T. Tran, Ed.D.
Director

Ultimatemustafa@ I know how you feel after working so hard in high school just to get a rejection letter. Don’t worry is not the end of the world if you applied to UCSD you have a great chance be positive:)

Matrix, there is nothing to be jealous about, remember UCLA kicked me in the groin, and it is still hurting … I am pretty sure UCSD will deliver the fatal kick … ouch, ouch, ouch …

Ultimatemustafa, I got the same freaking letter, amazing !!!

you need to show Vu Tran that your life actually gets better not going to UCLA … you are going to MIT …

One of my friend’s friend at UCSD just said that the phone calls come after the the online results and that they have been posted on the Sunday before mid-March for the past 4 years. He’s saying 2pm. Could be true?

Jack2011 – you need to find the thread about the UCSD admissions formula – it is very specific. 10th & 11th UC gpa x 1000 (which is only a-g courses taken between summer before 10th and summer after 11th, and only 8 honors/ap bonus points even if you took 24 semesters of AP classes in those two years), plus your 5 SAT scores (which would be best sititng of SAT 1 plus 2 best SAT2s) x .8, plus various points for various things, all with a goal to get somewhere above 7800 or 8000 points. But look at the thread, because its pretty complicated. Or wait until tomorrow at 2pm, which would be consistent when UCSD released decisions last year.

what ???
you want me to wait for another 18 hours, shoooooot …

It’s coming out 2 pm tomorrow? Gad, can’t wait.

Gah if it’s 2 PM tomorrow, I’ll be ecstatic!

Has anyone else just gotten rejected from UCLA? :S

I got rejected 24 hours ago, does that count ???

This wait is unbearable.

Euna, if you have a choice

  1. keep waiting
  2. get rejected
then may be you would rather keep waiting, at least I would …
I do wish you the best of luck tomorrow, 2 PM …

Last 4 years? I like those odds …

I’m sorry to hear that, theleakers, I got rejected too, hah, hope UCSD works out for ya. (:

Yes, I shall keep waiting. I’ll preoccupy myself somehow.

So I’m guessing this year’s cutoff is around 7800-7900 because of the number of applicants?
So I have around a 3.9(1000) + .8(2130+800+760) + ALOT of a-g courses (500) + over 200 hrs community service (300)= 7652 for sure I think
Educational environment: Diamond Bar High School
Low Income: Idk. Qualified for Gold and Blue. Got student loan from fafsa no pell grant.
Special talent: Fluent in chinese and english? They said languages count. AP Scholar…nothing really special
Everything else being 0 for sure…

You guys think I can score another 200? P.S…I’m Asian ■■■.
