Fall 2011 Acceptances

So, I’m calling last name isn’t it b/c huganator last name starts with R and sustainableaidan starts with N. (But not totally)

and congrats :D

first name? lol

My friend and I both think it’s by area since there seems to be no correlation between stats, last names, and phone calls…

I’m from LA County. Probably not area.

Found out randomly about Cornell today as well.

i don’t think it’s area either, only one person at my school was called and apparently he/she was rejected to la… many others were accepted there but did not yet receive any notification from sd…

no one I know has gotten anything yet, and I go to a pretty competitive school…

congrats on cornell!!! that was my dream school when i was a freshman :'D

does anyone know if they are still calling today? or do they stop at a certain time?? not that I would care if they called at like 3 AM i’d still be stoked! :D

Guess not…I guess they could just randomly be picking accepted students and phoning them :p

FYI, for anyone who hasn’t done so, make sure to put in your phone number in your TritonLink…I was sure mine was in my app, but I just checked and it wasn’t. There’s an option to change your current address, you put your number in there.

i was rejected from UCLA.

Cornell was also my dream school as a freshman haha.

@Goodbyehello I dont have caller ID on my house phone…

It isn’t by area or last name or stats.

so therefore it must be by _____

@dacrzazn93 …RANDOM? ahhh man, not ucsd tooo… UCI’s random acceptance thing is killing me too :frowning:

People with higher and lower stats than me got into uci already… but me, i still haven’t heard anything!

@tt6446
Idk about UCI because I didn’t apply there, but i would assume it’s just like every other college and it takes more than just gpa and SAT scores to get into college, now I must admit, when you stats, if you mean more than just those two things and you mean like EC’s and other things like that then i apologize for my mistake

@aceplanet, no need to apologize =]

To clarify, I mean both EC and numbers. I’ve been involved in A LOT of EC, four years of basketball, VP for NHS, lots of cultural clubs that I’ve been in since I was little, 200+ volunteer hours, started my own club, am VP of two clubs and President of one and I think I wrote a pretty good essay.

sighh… Hopefully, at least one of them notifies me ! =[

My UC GPA: 3.81
SATs: not so good… 1790
SATII: 690 Math II & 620 Bio E

I’m a first gen. college student, was not born here

Can anyone chance me for UCSD & UCI? (:

Thanks!

UCI looks good. I’d say 90%. UCSD you’re off with the GPA and tests. But since ure first gen , good ECs, not born here, etc…id say like 30-40%?

@AtticLights
where it says “permanent address”… is that where you put the phone number? or…where?

@dacrzazn93 , Thanks, Lets just hope some miracle happens for UCSD! Ah, I dont know why UCI haven’t told me anything yet! I’m getting extremely anxious! :(

@tt6446

I think you would have a chance at UCI but I dunno about UCSD. Unfortunately UCSD is all about the numbers, and to be honest your SAT and GPA is kind of low. But that’s alright! I have almost the same stats as you haha. Good luck!

to everyone else:
Also, I got a missed call from a number I didn’t know… What’s their area code number again?
