I think University of Calfornia just assumed applicants knew that plagiarism is wrong.

honestly, i think they are a ■■■■■ though. 1400 might be an “average SAT score” but 1850 is really the average for UC’s the low average for most. So idk if you could get in even with the most amazing sob story. And not writing your own essay? Not something someone would brag about. “oh and btw… i used someone’s else’s COmmunity Service forms too, and I’m the president of 15 clubs… built a homeless shelter… and i make $1.50 a year too…”

yea…no

just woke up from my nap nap, whats up with this drama…

@lovecolleges… aaaand? what? do you want a gold star now?

bookworm522 my friend got into ucla with act score of 19, she was muslim, president of 2 clubs, born born outside u.s., 1st generation, and low income, test scores are not the only factor -_- they want to see someone well rounded.

well obviously I know that, i’m just saying. If it was just about numbers, i’d be screwed

Didn’t KatayParay say she got in with a 21 ACT? So, it’s possible.

well of course its possible, you just need really really really good ecs

this is random, but u know Ke$ha apparently got a 1500/1600 on her SAT

Hi guys and gals.
Here we are again. Another night, another round. bookworm - tell us more about Davis. I’m leaning that way too if I don’t get in to Cal (or maybe USC or Pomona) but have not visited Davis yet.

^^ She was also in IB.

I want to go to Davis if I don’t get into Berkeley (high probability that I won’t get in) or UCSD (one more day!).

I’ve been to Davis’s campus – I love it. I love the atmosphere, I love the fact that there are so many bicycles, I just love the campus. I’ve yet to go and visit UCSD’s campus, but from the pictures I’ve seen, it looks just as nice. Plus, I heard the climate is similar to SF’s, which I really like.

I’ve visited Davis, and my tour was awesome. Before i visited, i was doubtful of doing to Davis, but now I’m considering it if I don’t get into some of my top choice colleges. It has a nice college town (and lots of bikes!). The weather is great too, although I’ve heard it’s not so great in the winter. The campus is really big too. I think it’s the biggest out of all the UCs?

Yes. Everyone I have spoken with loves Davis.

@Adamantoise hahaha you like SF’s weather? I’ve lived around here my whole life, so I’m pretty used to all the fog, but I’d much rather be living somewhere warmer

Some of my friends make fun of Davis for being so rural. They call it a farm.

And another benefit of Davis is they ACTUALLY GAVE US A DATE WHEN THEY ARE ANNOUNCING ADMISSIONS AND DIDN’T TORTURE US WITH DAYS OF PHONE CALLS!!!

thats why i am attending ucsb, i just want a boost on confidence from getting rejected from ucla :)

@xingxong: Yup, I do. I hate being really warm, all the time, so I like living along the coast or on the bay. I sort of dislike the rain we’re getting right now, but the spring is really nice, so is early summer. I actually think San Diego will be warmer than here, but I just want to be by the coast :)

Don’t even say UCLA. Some of us are bitter about that.
