Btw, I’ve done all that already. I am now waiting for my decision!

“(After this post, I consider the subject dropped.) […] I just got ripped for my honesty on top of it. I will post LESS from here on out. I’ll leave it where I tried to leave it.”

Dude, this is getting surreal.

You admit to an unethical activity on a public forum, that specifically relates to the content of that forum nonetheless, and I’m supposed to applaud or reward your frankness? People here work really hard, or have worked really hard, to get into good schools. Most of us have no connections to serve us along the way - financially or otherwise. I’m not arguing with you. By taking issue with what you’ve said I’m just sticking up for the people here who have earned their acceptances.

Parenthetically or otherwise, you can’t keep trying to renegotiate your commentary. You can post as much or as little as you want. But, you don’t have the right to dictate the responses you get, bro.

:D It’s all good!

@ Tsar:
The classics department offers medieval language & literature courses that might be relevant to your interests; Philosophy offers a number of history of philosophy courses in ancient and medieval thought; and there’s also a course on Anglo-Saxon language and literature (you actually learn Old English) in the English department, taught by Patricia Dailey, I believe.

That sounds great! Thanks MC!

Just wanted to join in on the final week sweat. Hopefully we get some calls in the next few days. GL all.

Good luck to all today…hopefully you will finally get the decision you have been waiting for.

Good Morning!
Thx Bax for the good wishes!

Wow, haven’t been here in a bit, finals are just around the corner, and this is the last week of the month!!
This week has to be the week when the path to our destinies are revealed!
Oh so exciting, so intriguing, so full of emotion !

Ta ta ta taaaaa… Good morning everyone! The new week is upon us, I can see that some has walked away from this thread, and I’m pretty sure that many might feel like “at this point only rejections are going out” the way I see it is the cup is half full and so is the application bin, there’s still time. Everyday I open the mail box and when I dont see a blue envelope I smile and say to myself “I’m still in the game”. Don’t give up. And if rejected just remember that your talents can be as great in Columbia as anywhere else. Your future is the car and YOU are behind the wheel. @ Hellojan, listen brother you have been an incredible source of knowledge for many applicants as well as current students, you are our good ambassador. and many people here has benefited from your honest and unbiased knowledge, to include myself and I appreciate it. I don’t know all the details of the issue with the other CC member, nor do I care. I’m sure something was said to warrant your reaction, but as I mentioned before I don’t care for the details and I’m not interested in watching it going any further. It ended clean cut and dry. I just wanted to tell you that many new comers will seek out good advise, I remember once a long time a go I tried to help a blind person out of the goodness of my heart, but the man thought I was mugging him so he beat me with his blind cane. My point is…well don’t stop being you. I know it sounds Corny but a well, I’m the one that got beat up with a cane lol

Hey Bro! Long time no read!
Ready for this week?
What’s in store for us poor orphans? oh Alma Mater come adopt us! Lol

Invic just chilaxing, the new week is here so hopefully well hear from Columbia. At this point something is better than nothing. We all could use a bit of peace

Oh tell me about it! Hopefully, this week is a great week for those of us who are pending a response :)

I got a call from a restricted number last week, which is a first on this phone, and thought that it was Columbia. When I realized that they didn’t leave any voicemessages I immediately became dissapointed, but optimist in me wants me to believe that maybe they just forgot to and didn’t want to call back. Anyways, hopefully we’ll all get our answers soon! Best of luck to everyone!

Woah, I can’t Imagine the feeling. My heart would have probably stopped from beating so fast! Well, hopefully you will get a call again this week :)

Thanks, Bro!

Good luck, everyone!

The mail came in and no rejection…yet :)

Hey friends, thanks so much for letting me help you through the admissions cycle. It’s an honor to be even a teeny-tiny piece of your Columbia story.

As of now, I’m a moderator on Storybook - for those that don’t know, it’s a networking site for newly admitted GS students - and I can’t spread myself too thin. So, for the next few weeks, I’ll be hammering out papers and studying for finals and spending the majority of my forum time over on that site.

I know it’s problematic to move with the core of the cohort, being here when most everyone is applying and being there when most have been let in, and I don’t mean to leave anyone behind. So, Bro and Invic and others, feel free to PM me with any questions or celebratory messages about acceptances. I’ll be sure to get back to you quickly. Otherwise, see you on the other side!

Only good things!

HJ

farewell fine friend. hopefully we will meet again on the otherside (aka storybook).

Thanks hellojan, appreciate the tips and encouragement along the way! Looks like we are getting into the final stretch this week…

Thanks HelloJan…will do…

now who will be the lucky forumer today? less than 3hrs left!! OoooOOooo :D
