Hello All,
I am new here :-)
Congrats Greathal! well deserved! Thanks for letting us know. I know not to put my phone on vibrate for the next three weeks (hopefully, I wont have to wait that long). Now, what is the probability that one of us will get a call or an email from CU TODAY???
The anxiety and uncertainty is killing me!!

I guess no one on the forums heard yet today either. The wait is really killing me, but at least there wasn’t a rejection in the mail today so there is still hope

I’m definitely, definitely, definitely not getting my hopes too high, but I received a call from a blocked # for the first time in a long time. The call was around 11:30 am EST.

My question (aimed more at those who were accepted) is: does GS leave a voicemail when they call and you don’t pick up?

I didn’t take the GSAE until March 27th, so I’m guessing that it would be too soon to be hearing from them anyway.

James: I haven’t received a call yet but according to greathal’s post he got a voicemail from the admissions office, but you could always call them back to find out

I wonder if the rejections are made b
By calls as well

From what I understand about rejections, it is a letter sent by snail-mail

I can confirm from experience that the above is correct

Good to know. Effective immediately the mail man is banned from my block.

That is why I let out a sigh of relief every time I don’t see Columbia blue in my mail

Baxter: yeah I thought about calling them, but it would be super awkward if they weren’t the ones who called. “It wasn’t you guys? Umm…well I hope to hear from you soon!” haha. I did think about calling to see if they would switch my GSAE status to “taken,” but I think they would see right through my call.

Brohlijk: Hahaha!

Wow, thanks again for the welcome. Just a few more days for the rest of you to get in, right?

@Random, if I ever to talk to admissions again, I have to ask what they thought of my photo. It might have been too much, but I decided to go with it. The original photo was of me at a protest, but I photoshopped the protest sign to read “Hello Columbia” and changed the background to GS’ Lewisohn Hall.

That was a good move Greathal, you’re definitely a risk taker, reap the rewards brother!

Greathal, the admissions officers will be at your orientation. So, should you decide to take it, you’ll get your chance.

I called yesterday about some supplemental materials I sent in to make sure they got there. I was hoping they would give some sort of hint as to what the decision was lol

@ Brohlijk …haha yeah I’m with you…
@ Greathal, please let us know the minute you get your package if it was sent via fedx/UPS/tnt/dhl…if its fedx, I will call fedx everyday to see if I have inbound mail from Columbia.
@Glenndale -I called admissions and followed up with an email on the 14th of march and asked them to update my GSAE status (didnt want to run the risk of having my app delayed because of a system glitch, better safe than sorry) and admissions told me that they had everything and that I was good, even though it was not updated on the website.

I called fedx yesterday and gave them my address and they were able to look up shipments going to my home, to my dismay, there was nothing from CU :(

I was reading other forums and found out that CC applicants can see if they got accepted online by logging in. GS applicants do not have the option to see the response online, I guess its a way of teaching future GSers that “Patience is a virtue”. I do not mind the wait, as long as I get accepted (then who wouldnt…lol)

I’m pretty surprised that nobody else on the forums has gotten in yet

Hey, I still have a year before I graduate, but I’m definitely going to apply to the dual ba program, and was wondering if anyone had some advice?
Anything helps! Thank you!

I’ve pretty much resigned myself to rejection. I’ve even practiced saying it out loud. :(

Juniper: I feel the same way, for some reason I just can’t see myself getting in. I will be pleasantly surprised if I do though

@ Juniper
Noooo Juniper! dont give up, you’ve just started…Think positive! positivity always bring forth positive things:) . I know the anxiety is devouring you, just like all of us. The good thing is that you are not alone. We are all on the same boat
I hope you get in…you probably will too!!
