When did you get your notice? What Major? That is about the same GPA / SAT/ ACT as our home.

gtfotu - good chance. i had the same SAT, lower grades, better ECs.

Just got accepted for bioengineering

Now b/n penn state and here & waiting from purdue

my berkely dream may come trueee after all :D

what were your stats?

Sats : Pretty Low!
US citizen, staying abroad.
GPA: 3.7 GPA on converting A levels to GPA!
Essay: Good

Accepted for EE
BOURNS!

Stats posted on first page of this thread! =)
@swetha93, I’m a US citizen living in Pakistan. Where are you from? India, I’m assuming?

And Purdue>Penn State. I know a friend who’s also a US citizen and studying computer engg at purdue. He had been admitted at Penn state too. And Purdue is definitely better than UCR. I got admitted to Univ. of Illinois at Urbana Champaign, so UCR is out of the equation. =D

I’m gonna have to agree with gtfotu; Purdue is probably the most underrated school in the country. Did you know that three Purdue alumni have walked on the moon?

In Singaporeee :D

Is anyone still waiting to hear from UCR? This wait is killer. They were originally supposed to let everyone know by March 1. But now on their Facebook page, they say it may go longer. Haven’t heard from UCI either.

Still waiting to hear from both UCR and UCI.

@DJB360: I’m still waiting, don’t worry.
The wait is KILLING me.
I feel that UCR is one of the schools that I have a higher chance of getting into (out of the 4 UCs I applied to), and since I only have a 3.52 GPA I’m kinda worried…this is one of my top uni.

Oh, God, I just hated the feel UCI gave me as an applicant. Too unwelcoming, I felt. I won’t go there even if they accept me and give me full aid. And, yes, Neil Armstrong is a Purdue graduate. It’s rated #1 in Aerospace/Aeronautical engineering!

I was accepted on Feb 25th as a transfer student from a California community college. Here is some info that may be of interest to some of you.

Intended Major: Business Administration
Alt Major: Business Informatics

Accepted to my “alternate major”. Although I suspect this means I was accepted into Pre-Business, which is just a holding place for business admin majors who did not complete all pre-requisites.

Missing Pre-Reqs: (3/7) Microeconomics, Intro to Business, Business Calculus.

GPA: 3.25~ At time of application. This included 2 F’s I received 4 years ago at a cal state, one of which I could not retake. They emailed asking to update any winter grades through the uc application website, after which my GPA updated to 3.45. (After retaking one of the Fs).

Good luck to everyone out there. If you have any questions feel free to ask.

Still waiting…
Anyone else?

I am. :(

10char

this wait is too much !!!
I might faint before the decision comes !!!
I feel light headed, give me some water and let me sit down, please Riverside …

If we haven’t heard by now, does that mean we got rejected?! o.O

And out of curiosity, which is easier to get into, Merced or Riverside?

Probably not. If they’ve absolutely rejected us, they would’ve let us know by now.

Merced is guaranteed if you’re UC eligible.

Guess i’ll post as well
got my acceptance a while back into Bourns College of Engineering for electrical engineer
um not sure if im will go or not still waiting on others

also does anyone no how fast Pentland gets filled up?
also should i do the honors program? is the extra work worth it? what if i want to transfer after 2 years still worth it?
if i do sign up for the honors program does that mean i have to go to UCR if i get accepted into it?
