Keep your hopes up, SLOhopeful! The only other transfer liberal arts that I know for sure has gotten in is a polisci transfer like me.

Hey kristin, you’re right! Fresno Represent. I’ve lived in Fresno my whole life, so I’m finally glad to get out of here. Fresno is a good place for some, but I really wanted to get out of here. My admission was conditional though, so I still have to get a C in my calc and Business Law class, which are both fairly hard.

Business: Accepted  GPA 3.94 UW, 4.20 W, SAT 1100/1600. EC 16 + hours, work: 8 + hours. Out of state.

Hello,

If we haven’t gotten accepted yet for communication studies…are we pretty much rejected? Also, when did you get in for BA?

gpa 3.6. cc transfer. i also applied to eop
this is actually my 2nd time getting in I got in 09 when i graduated from high school.

Any General Engineers hear back yet?

My son was just accepted to the Cal Poly SLO, General Engineering program tonight 02/17/11.

GPA: 4.4 (weighted); 4.0 (unweighted)
ACT: 31

Extracurricular: Marching Band, Jazz Band, Concert Band, Nerf Gun modification, etc.

My kid was also accepted to Cal Poly Pomona and still waiting for a response on the school’s Kellogg Honors College. He’ll get in, I am sure. Does anyone have an opinion which to choose between the two schools? Pomona is local and that is to his liking. Near home, friends, etc. SLO is more selective and nationally known, but 200 miles away. We live in Los Angeles County. I’d like him to go the school that will give him the best opportunity.

^^^Just purely on best job opportunities, I would pick SLO because of it’s reputation among employers. I’m about 200 miles from SLO and don’t consider it a long drive. Give or take 2 hours without traffic.
