I applied on December 2010 for the film production degree from cinematic arts at USC. They said they would have a decision by June 1st, but I still haven't heard anything from them. Online, my status changed a bit over a week ago to: "Your application has been forwarded for committee review".
Is anybody else in my same situation? When will I hear from them? I know there are people who got a flatout "no" a long time ago. Does this mean I have higher chances? That they are thinking about it? Some other people say I might just be borderline, and therefore in some sort of waitlist, but i have no clue, so any information would be really helpful. Thanks!

I would email admissions and ask; we can’t really help you

Did you get an SGR? Call Admissions right away

I did not get any SGR, and when i call admissions, they tell me exactly the same thing that is posted online. I even think they just read to me what I can already see on the internet…

If you can reach your high school GC over the summer, I think it’s time for someone from your high school to call. You also might want to call over to SCA admissions, describe your situation and have them take a look at your file and check its status. Good luck!

If you are applying as a freshman, non-transfer admit, I would think that it’s safe to say you didn’t get in if you haven’t heard anything yet.

I am applying as a junior transfer from a community college from SoCal.
