Fall 2011 Transfer Acceptance Letters

& I still have no response from UW  ughh

Has anyone got an acceptance letter lately? Iā€™m still waiting for any news from UWā€¦Well there is another month left.

My UW unofficial transcript loaded June 16th and I received my acceptance letter in the mail two days later. Just some general info if anyone is curious: Iā€™m an in state transfer from a local community college, I applied with around a 3.65, member of Phi Theta Kappa and the schoolā€™s honor program, sent in my application probably an hour before the deadline, I didnā€™t apply for my major because I didnā€™t have all the pre reqs at the time but put ā€œintended Communication majorā€ā€¦ had a really good professor-edited personal statement that explained how I was going to finish up my 90 credits by the end of Summer quarter to receive my AA and was going to take all the pre reqs during Spring and Summer quarter for the Comm major and apply for the major during Fall quarter at the UW.

havent heard anything either. I applied just a few days before the due date, with a 3.3. I am a member of phi theta kappa and am applying into there international studies and ā€œnear eastern languages and civilizationā€ programs (NELC). I told them I want to double-major, with international studies being the primary one. When I called they said there sending the responses out in chunks, and whether you get it early or late does not mean anything. Essentially, they pick your application at random. The only exception is the engineering majors tend to be looked at later in the process (mid-July), if that helps anyone. Anyone know how difficult UW is on accepting international studies majors? and in consideration with my information?

SoundersFC ,

thats exactly my majors. i heard back july 17.

Hello!

I applied for the Architecture major and fall transfer and havenā€™t heard back and I know that Architecture will take till mid/late July to hear back but I am wondering if what you heard from admissions applies to Architecture as well. We are nervous about acceptance. Application was strong and I have a 4.0 GPA. I have two little boys (under 4) and a wife in the education program at CWU and we cannot afford to wait until next fall to reapply (that will be the third year weā€™ve applied).

So nervous.

bellasbee I wish I knew! I would assume soā€¦ All they said was that engineering majors are towards the end, so try researching the architecture department in UW and see where it falls. If I remember correctly, the admissions person I was talking to seemed to imply that more competitive majors (i.e. engineering, compsci) are looked at more towards the end.

Rejected! Wow, my first rejection. Didnā€™t hurt as much as I thought it would.

They sent me a real letter in the mail, not an email. I think that made it a little better. They didnā€™t give me a reason why, but they said theyā€™d keep my record on file in case I wanted to reapply for the next semester.

I got my Acceptance Letter today. Small one and big one. lol

Got in! 3.95 GPA from an instate university. Junior standing.

For all that were accepted a Fall transfer students: The time is near. Enjoy!

Iā€™m a little confused on where we go to check if our transcripts are loaded, can anyone help me out?
