Why are you worried that you haven’t heard back yet? It clearly states on their website that Fall transfers will not hear back until June through July. It’s the 2nd day of June. Just relax :)

Well other Fall transfers have had their unofficials loaded.

And because I’m very impatient!! hah I’m nervous. It feels like its been 50 years since I applied. Are you a transfer too?

I’m getting nervous too! I know they told us they would notify us in June/July, but since some fall transfers got in already that makes it even more nerve-racking for everyone who hasn’t heard anything yet
Let’s hope they sent out another bunch of notifications this week!

They were business majors. Don’t worry! No one at my school has heard, and I know at least one of us should.

From everyone’s experience:

Has anyone figured out from their MyUw account that they were accepted BEFORE the letter came? Or rejected?

Also, have all the people who have got a response already been accepted? I wonder if they send out the acceptance letters before the rejection letters. That’s what it seems.

Anyone’s experience on acceptance would be helpful.

Checking everyday!!!

Last year they heard around June 8th. They were about a week behind last year when they did summer applicants. I wouldn’t be too concerned until we get to that date.

Thank you Meesh.

I am so nervous. I have two kids and my wife is in school at Central and I just need to get this degree done.

I am hoping that I get in this year. I made sure all my ducks were in a row so fingers crossed.

I will wait till mid June to freak out. lol

Please, let me know if you get any more information.

OH MY GOD! My friend was rejected with 3.9 GPA, he is a fall transfer, and Civil Engineering. The reason was that he did not take enough English class!! The four year English requirement is Ridiculous! Unfair to those of us who are immigrant !

I’m so nervous now!! My application is kind of weird because I want to get into Foster yet I haven’t completed the course requirements for my major, so this was my plan:

Complete my remaining pre-application requirement in the summer (Calculus)

Get admitted as an undeclared student

Complete my remaining pre-admission requirements in Fall 2011 (Micro, Man. Accounting, and Intro to Law)

Apply for winter admission to Foster with the UAG group

Thus, I would be in Foster by winter quarter and have all of my requirements completed. However, I’m still really worried because I didn’t have those requirements completed when I applied. This will only be my second year of college even though I have 90 credits already (I graduated from high school in 2010 and I want to graduate from college in 2013), so it became difficult for me to have every single course requirement completed. My plan outlined above, though, provides a way for me to meet all of the requirements. I outlined this plan in my personal statement, but I’m not sure if UW will consider it.

I had a 3.9 GPA at my previous school, American University. Unfortunately, I didn’t do many activities last year because I worked 20 hours a week in addition to my schooling. But, in high school, I was really involved, and I want to become involved again (I specified that in my personal statement.)

I specifically stated that part of the reason I want to be admitted now, as opposed to going to a community college to complete course requirements and applying again next year, is because I want to become involved with school spirit and school activities. But if I am rejected this year, I guess community college is all I can do. I’ll complete the course requirements there and try again next year.

I hope it doesn’t come to that, though. Well, all I can do for now is wait. Good luck everyone!

Allen, did you friend take 2 english classes in his CC, and did it show in his highschool transcript that he took at least 2 years of literature in his native language? I’m also an immigrant, I applied while finishing my 2nd english class at my CC, and I took tons of liturature in my highschool in my country. They said that I would be fine with the english requirement. but now I’m not so sure anymore. I didn’t stated my case, and I didn’t fill out the english requirement part in the application (STUPID ME). I just put my transcript in there and thought they’ll know what to do. I will hate myself forever if that cost me my acceptance. Gosh, this is nerve cracking.

Every time I unsuccessfully try to load my unofficial transcript, a piece of hope inside me shatters and dies.

Anyone else share a similar experience? :P

The wait is agonizing, but I’d rather wait and get accepted than hear about rejection early.

KayleyFC,

i totally understand your feeling. i have the same experience too.

did uw start to send rejections already. all students that i personally know (from my college) haven’t heard anything yet. aggggggggggggggggh, waiting is killing me

I’m in the same boat, guys… going crazy over here… graduate from my CC tomorrow & I wish I had some sort of answer. :(

Nana, a friend of mine told me that a couple of her friends (who applied for Fall transfer) were rejected already. I’m not sure though.

Kayley, yes completely. Even though no one had heard yet. It makes no sense.

@VanAnh If you finished two college level English classes, then you should be fine. My friend only taken one English class at CC.

haha my thoughts exactly when the transcript page doesnt load.

are most of you guys in state?

I’m in-state.

I kind of got used to waiting, I don’t check myuw as much as I used too, and I already paid my deposit for Seattle U. A rejection letter wouldn’t be as devastating as a few months ago. I’m in state as well

i called the office of admissions to ask about the deposit. i completely forgot about that you scared me ! the man said letters will start going out the 15th!

Ah we have to wait until after the 15th? Well at least its only a week until we hear some news…
