Fall 2011?

My wife and I both applied EA at GS along with applications to UChicago and Stanford. I’m looking at a Physics major along with some strong mathematics courses.

That’s cool, Amstem. You certainly wouldn’t be the first married couple here.

Another interesting Columbia phenomenon: twins. I’ve met no less than three sets of twins during my time in Morninside. Two sets were varsity athletes, too.

I applied for early action for this fall. Took the GSAE on couple weeks ago. Looking to major in Econ/Math

Did anyone else apply early action for fall '11? (besides lizfromhollywood, baxter2211, and myself).

GSAE in ten days! I can’t wait!

I have all of my materials in, I wonder when I can expect a decision for Early Action.

Applied EA for Fall 2011 here. Not feeling quite as confident about getting in as I was before submitting the application, lol

@baxter2211: Site says typically 4-6 weeks, although I have heard of rare cases of sooner or much, much later. (One going all the way out to late June)

Well I am hoping that they give it earlier, the wait is killing me

The past two springs people have heard as early as April 1. You can probably search this board to check dates from last year and do your own speculating.

ME ME MEEEEEE! i’m applying! I havent been on this forum in a while! i finally decided to poke my head out the mound of paperwork i’ve been hiding under for months!

What schools are you guys currently attending?

Los Angeles City College

Just up the 2 fwy from Liz! I’m at Glendale Community College.

lol i took Biology at GCC in 2008.

I’ve applied ED and I am so sick of waiting. At this point I just want to KNOW one way or the other. I have been stressing out and obsessing about GS for so many months now!

Currently I attend Washington University in St. Louis part-time, after I dropped out of Grinnell College a few years ago. I am unsatisfied with Washu’s program for “non-traditional” students and I’m ready to go back to school head on. I can’t wait until the decisions start coming back. It’s unbearable, right?

Pending an acceptance response IS unbearable, to say the least. Its like of a poignant-mental-anxiety that cant be cured or satiated by any pill! -The only cure is a GS acceptance letter  . ok, back to the forum…I applied ED for the Fall- wanted to do Financial Economics (But I might just do economics, since FE is only a BA not B.S …grrr!! )

Invict I thought economics is also a BA

@ phillyman… you are right - its always been BA :)

What is the difference between bachelor of arts and bachelor of science?

I don’t understand why one might say “just a BA.”?

From what I understand, Bachelor of Science degrees are usually granted after a much more focused course of study. Bachelor of Arts programs generally follow a more traditional liberal arts curriculum, and the student is expected to study a variety of subjects. Foe example, a B.S. would require 40 credits in their major, while a B.A. would require 30 credits.
