I did extend my price range up to $1400 though. I figured it was NYC, and I wasn’t finding anything near the price I was looking for through apt brokers.

Congratulations Fly!! It’s always awesome to hear about the people who are really passionate getting in. You totally deserve it! As for money, even if you really don’t have the money to afford it right at this moment, I talked with the head of financial aid and it’s totally financeable. All it really comes down to is how comfortable you are taking out a lot of loans, which right now you can get at historically low interest rates. I’m gonna be buried in student loan debt, sure, but the Columbia experience and an ivy league degree are both PRICELESS, and will last me far longer than it will take to pay off.

Fuaves, it told me on my blackberry I had an inbox but I don’t know how to check it. It said it was from you so sorry for not answering… Haven’t been on my computer… And liquid… Really? They said it was financable? How much debt for two years?

Congratulations Marlon!! That’s awesome! Fly, my message was just words of encouragement; I knew you were a little disheartened for a moment there not hearing from admissions. Armando, hang in there bud! Essentially everyone thus far who has had access to Fi aid has been admitted.

Thank you Fauves and Armando. And you have a point: everyone who was able to log in to FA has got in. So you’ll just have to wait Armando. I’m sure you’l receive an offer!

^^^ thanks guys I really appreciate your support! I really hope I get in and can come to NY and meet all of you guys! A GS CC support group I guess! Lol

Hi, I am new here. Ready to submit my regular app this week. For all international applicants, would you mind sharing your TOEFL score? Coz mine is below 100 so I am getting reli worried now lol.

GS Scholarships are disbursed to student accounts after registration for tuition use only. * Students enrolled for less than 6 credits will have their scholarship cancelled for that particular semester. * Applying for financial aid is a yearly process. All GS scholarship recipients must complete the GS scholarship application each year by April 15, and all additional required forms by published deadlines, to be considered for an award for the succeeding academic year. Scholarships for continuing students generally increase in subsequent years and are based on merit and need. * If you receive full tuition benefits from Columbia University or an outside employer, you will be eligible only for a nominal award from institutional funds (maximum $600) to help defray academic fees.

But other than that I haven’t heard anything

jaime: Yep, I had those messages for about 3-4 business days before the awards finally popped in there…and then about another week before I got the letter in the mail

@Marlon wowwwwww, yours is incredibly high!!! I only had 95 lolllllllll do I still have a decent chance? since it seems too late to take the exam again:(((
